A true gem in Kuopio, this restaurant never disappoints. The lunch is always inventive and the portions are just right. Absolutely recommended, and the dinner is truly a world-class experience – yet still relaxed and down-to-earth. A wonderful experience every time! And service is so friendly, warm and heartfelt.

Kuopio is a fabulous place to visit in the winter...who wouldn’t want a sky jump in the middle of town! It’s a 4hr train journey through stunning landscape from Helsinki. Some great places to eat when you arrive. Best of all is this place, Ravintola Urban. Small daily changing menu draws you in frequently. Have a honey brewed beer with any dish!

I went here in July and I still can't stop thinking about how good the risotto is. The fish was a bit too salty with the capers, but otherwise the dish was perfect.
